The Center for Technology & Training announces a call for participation in the focus groups planned for 2016. Customer participation is invaluable for Roadsoft design and development, by providing us feedback on proposed project scope, overall feature needs, and other items we may have overlooked.
Two design focus groups are planned for 2016 to outline a design for the following modules (development focus groups are tentatively scheduled to occur in 2017):
- Catch Basin and Stormwater Management Module
- Sidewalk Module
Catch Basin and Stormwater Management is a new proposed module for Roadsoft. We envision the module including the location and management of work related to catch basins, as well as the ability to assist in producing stormwater management plans.
The Sidewalk Module is an existing module in Roadsoft. We are converting the module to the .NET programming language to ensure compatibility and to add long-term viability to the program. It will also allow us to add support for some of the more modern elements currently available in other Roadsoft modules, such as work orders, maintenance, and inspections.
Participation in either the Catch Basin and Stormwater Management Module focus group or the Sidewalk Module focus group will consist of two webinar discussions (one in April and one in Oct/Nov – days/times TBA) with the possibility of additional sessions if needed.
